How To Stop Your Wig From Slipping?
Is your wig constantly shifting?
Are you always nervous when the wind blows?
Is your wig loose and you need it need it to be more snug?
If you've answered yes to any of these questions, I will give you several ways to secure your wig without any hassle.
Use a Wig Grip Band
This is one of the most popular ways to secure your wigs in place without using glues, tapes, clips or combs. Our lace wig grip band is made of durable breathable soft and comfortable velvet material. This helps to keep the head cool and eliminates wig-related headaches by placing a barrier between your skull and the wig's materials which can prevent hair loss and bald spots. One of the pros of our wig band is, it gives you a lace opening where you can place your wig parting to achieve a natural look.
Use a Wig Cap
This option is one of the more traditional ways to secure your wig. This is designed to hold your hair into the cap, preventing it from falling out. The cap is great for every day wig wearers and also helps to keep the wig clean.
Wig Band
The Wig band is another great option to secure the wig. This comes either adjustable or a one size fits all. If your wig is too big, the band will give it a tighter fit instantly. However, there is a down side to the band. If you have trouble with headaches or anything tight on the head, this will not be a good match. Also, if you plan to wear the wig everyday, this may result in hair loss to the edges. However, a great way to have this band and prevent the headaches and long term problems, is to combine the band with the wig grip band mentioned above.
Wig Clips
These are sewn on the inside of the wig cap and attached to your hair to secure the wig. The wig clips have a rubber design, which protects your hair from hurt as well as helps to keep your hair firmly in place. With these clips, theres no need to adjust your wig frequently.
Glue or Adhesives
This option is very quick and easy and should only be used for short periods of time. Adhesives have become very popular in the past few years to secure lace wigs to the head. The invisible bonding helps to hide your hairline and creates a natural look for your wig. This should be applied where there is no hair, preferably right in front the hairline. The adhesives washes off with water/ glue remover or alcohol. Constant use of adhesives will result in hair loss if not applied correctly and or professionally. So, always make sure that it is being applied properly.
